Anna Roberts

Sales and Marketing Director

Gumboots and mud was my childhood, having grown up on a farm in the Waikato, so I know all about farmers and how they tick. Especially after having ended up marrying a sheep and beef farmer on a high country station in the ranges of Gisborne! I completed a Masters Degree in Business, majoring in Marketing and Strategy at Canterbury University, and worked client side in the marketing department of the retail sector of Fonterra before working in ad agencies in NZ and in London including Whybin TWA Tequila. So you can see –marketing is my game. On my return from overseas, I settled down in the hills of Gisborne with my own marketing business consultancy called Viva Communications specialising in the rural industry. Then in 2003, AGAD Ltd, the mobile advertising specialists, was born. Viva was put to rest and AGAD has grown from strength to strength. With a family of 3 children and mad fishing husband there is never a dull moment on the farm, and when it’s time for some downtime, you’ll find me surfing, doing yoga or going for a run. People, passion and purpose is what I’m all about. Making a difference is what’s important. And remembering to take time to smell those roses.

Special Projects

I was born in Auckland, completed high school in Wellington and then spent four years at University in Dunedin completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Tourism. After Uni, I left NZ to teach French to primary school kids in France before heading to London at age 23. After five years of living and working in London for large FMCG corporates, and meeting my soon to be husband, I returned back to New Zealand with 42Below and Bacardi Global Brands. I then left 42Below and decided to give Gisborne a go where my husband has a farm, and spent the next seven years doing freelance marketing projects, events, web and social media work and strategic planning for many clients. I work with Anna and AGAD on Special Projects that come our way so that we can offer the best solution for our clients and ensure they are getting the best bang for their buck whilst offering a rural approach thanks to our farming backgrounds. I have one child which I fit into a busy life of fun work projects, a rural life and getting out and about. I approach my work as I do my life, ensure you tick off the small details while always looking at the bigger picture.

  • “A number of our clients have seen the benefits of using truck backs. It allows them to reach regions not possible with traditional outdoor advertising formats. AGAD are great to deal with, really well organised and they provide us install photos, video footage, route information and mileage data.”

    Paul Kenny, Shout Media

  • “We have used AGAD on a number of campaigns for both Government and private sector clients and have always found their standard of service to be fantastic in terms of delivering on campaign deadlines, quality of their work and speed of response. I would recommend AGAD to any advertisers wishing to do truck based advertising.”

    Emily Goulden, OMD

  • “The trucks looked great. Impactful and powerful! Thanks AGAD.”
